Deer Creek Cottages and Guest house is locally owned and operated by Kevin and Kelly Kraemer Sabourin of Douglas, Michigan. We are very proud to offer comfortable family- friendly and couples lodging in the Saugatuck Douglas region. Not only does Deer Creek Cottages provide a terrific recreation opportunity, but it is consistent with our personal goals of supporting family fun, balance, relaxation, and environmental friendliness.

Duffy Boat Rentals

We moved to the area in 2002 with our daughter Killian and the goal of raising a family in a small, but progressive, town. This dream came true with our purchase of a local bed and breakfast named Deer Creek Cottages and Guest house.

Through Deer Creek cottages, we are afforded the opportunity to stay home to raise our young family while meeting some terrific, open minded, people from around the world as Saugatuck/Douglas becomes an increasingly renowned travel destination.

Our lodging experience taught us the value of peace, quiet and personal downtime. Many of our guests appreciate the tranquility yet accessibility of the cottages. We are very close to the city yet secluded in a natural serene setting – the best of both worlds.

We are also avid water enthusiasts and recently opened an electric boat rental business called Duffy Boats Rentals. We wanted our guests to be able to explore one of the best vantage points of our little Midwestern secret - Saugatuck and Douglas by water. Duffy compliments our goals of peaceful recreation and environmentally friendliness. You can avoid the crowds, enjoy the serenity, and even explore the natural beauty of the region.
